Valentines Gift Ideas for the Fitness Enthusiast

Valentines for FitnessValentines day is next week, and if your significant other would rather spend their time hiking or hitting the gym,  chocolates aren’t going to cut it. Here is a list of gift ideas for the Fitness Enthusiast that holds your heart.

Those of  you enjoying single life, the following  can also be enjoyed  with your bestie.

Happy Valentines Day! Why not celebrate in a slightly different way, and get your sweat on before you turn on the Barry White! 😉

Working out together is not just good for your physical health, it’s also good for the health of your relationship!

Weekend Fitness Retreat

Fitness Retreat What better way to unwind and connect with yourselves and each other than a relaxing, rejuvenating retreat.  This doesn’t mean you have to sit around on the beach, Vancouver boasts plenty of places offering active vacations.  From Surf weekends in Tofino to skiing or hiking one of the local mountains, there is something for everyone.  In addition to creating memories together, studies have linked being outdoors and in nature to boosting moods and energy levels.

A One Hour Massage

If  your sweetheart has been busy training for their next big event, they’re probably due for a massage.  Alternatively,  you could get a couples massage and share the experience. Or…. why not get some hands-on time (literally!) and offer one yourself. 😉

Custom NikeCustom designed Runners

As a fitness enthusiast and lover of shoes, you can’t go wrong with a new pair of runners.  Better yet, design them a  pair using the NIKEiD builder to customize several of the features including, sport, color or style.  There is even a 6 letter custom tongue ID option.

Dance lessons

Or you could make your sweethearts  “Dancing with the Stars” dreams come true with classes like the waltz, tango, quickstep, rumba or cha cha. Broadway Ballroom in Vancouver, offers a beginners class that covers most of these popular dances.  You’ll work up a sweat, while building trust and coordination.  Learning how to move together will  transfer well to other areas of your relationship, too. 😉

Valentines gift ideas for the Fitness Enthusiast Feeling adventurous? Try pole dancing for a sexier twist.  Tantra Fitness offers Pole dancing, exotic dancing, and even lap dancing lessons.  Something that might just get both of your hears racing. Obviously its important to be certain that this is something she will feel comfortable  doing, if your not sure then its better to stick to the traditional classes.

Indoor cycling Classes

Nothing says romance like breathlessly  locking eyes over a bike while  dripping with sweat.  That’s how I met my sweetheart so I might be a bit bias. 😉  Many  community centers in Richmond offer classes at varying times throughout the day, check with your local community center or cycling studio for class availability.   These classes will get your hearts racing and leave you with a sweaty post workout glow.

I teach a class on Sunday  mornings at 9:30am at the Southarm Community Centre, its a drop in class called Cycle Fit.  Sound like something your sweetheart might enjoy??? You can call to register here.

As always If you have anything to add, or found some inspiration here I would love to hear from you.

Happy Valentines

Awesome ideas!! The one hour massage is perfect for my boyfriend!! He loves massages and definitely needs one with all of the strain he puts on his body with working out and lifting. Thank you for all of the great ideas!
