2018 Vancouver Sunrun- Race Recap

2018 SunRun Race recapYesterday I  participated in my first Sunrun in over 15 years.  The Sunrun is Canada’s largest 10K road race, and a popular event for walkers and families.

It  has been around since 1985;  a race doesn’t become Canada largest without top notch organization and communication.  The website is full of event, and participant information,  and the course is well marked and full of volunteers.

Just to give you an idea of growth over the last 33 years; the first run attracted 3,200 participants and in 2017 an incredible 41,924 registrants signed up.  Continue reading

2017 PNE Donut Dash- Race Recap

DonutDashThis past Sunday I ran the most delicious run of my life, the PNE Donut Dash. This family friendly 5K fun run is hosted by Try Events, and is a no brainer if you like running/ walking , having fun and mini donuts.

This run was also perfect to try with the jogging stroller, read on for my “sweet” race recap.

Color Me Rad- Surrey, B.C. 2016- Race Review

2015 Vancouver Eastside 10km Race Review

East side 10kmThis was my first time participating in the Canadian Running Series, Vancouver East side 10km.  Adrian was the driving force behind our decision to run, this was mainly influenced by the souvenir T-shirt and the dog-tag style finisher’s medal. I signed us up knowing that with my recent health issues it wouldn’t be my best time. I figured,  being out participating was better than not participating at all. Continue reading

2015 Vancouver Scotiabank Half Marathon Race Review

Better late than never! I had plans for writing this post last week, but being away on vacation had me tied up relaxing and enjoying special moments with family… So now here I am finally writing my race review over a week later, not to worry I jotted down some notes to help me remember. The Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon, my 4th half marathon but the first for my boyfriend,  which of course made it a special run.
