Essential Sciatic Nerve Relief

Between running and indoor cycling my muscles can get  tight and sometimes my Sciatic can act up.  When this happens I know its time to make an appointment with my Physiotherapist for some IMS (Intra-Muscular Stimulation).  Recently I discovered alternative relief with this blend of  essential oils.

Nerve painINGREDIENTS

  • Thyme                           5 drops
  • White Fir                       5 drops
  • Lavender                   10 drops
  • Frankincense           10 drops
  • Helichrysum            10 drops
Please note that I highly recommend storing this blend in a bottle with a pump top.  I’ve experimented with a few oils and tried both a roller ball,  and the pump and prefer the later.  You do not want to mess with a roller bottle for applying oils from your waist all the way down to your heel!

I like to pump a bit into my hands, rub my hands together, then apply to the top of the sciatic nerve (basically my rear) and above.  Working it in really well, trying to apply a bit of pressure to the nerve.  I pump more into my hands and work it down my leg. I spend more  time on my calf before ending on the sole of my foot with the heel.

I’ve been super impressed with the relief provided by these essential oils for the sciatic nerve, and would love to hear what you think.
