Essential OIls

DIY Dry Shampoo

I have been using doTERRA essential oils for several months as part of my health and wellness plan.  And I am working towards slowly reducing synthetic exposure while taking more informed approach to my self-care.

I started by using essential oils in a diffuser & a few drops in my sons baths.  From there I started brewing up roller ball recipes for all sorts of common ailments.  Today I want to share with you my experience with one of my first projects-  DIY Dry Shampoo.

I bought the 50ml Glass Jars from Amazon. I started with the suggested recipe on the doTERRA blog, and modified from there.  Rosemary is known for promoting a healthy thick looking head of hair.  I also enjoy the combination of Lemon, Lavender and Geranium. Many blogs say to mix the powder in a food blender with the oil, but I just shook it like crazy to mix it.  IF you have darker hair you will want to add cocoa to reduce visibility.

How to Apply:  I have a designated makeup brush that I use to apply it to the roots of my hair.  But you could also just put it on your fingers and run it through your hair too.
